ICD ICD Certification

When will AHIMA start testing for the ICD-10 certification, and for those of us that are ICD-9 certified, will AHIMA require us to retake the exam for competency or will that be up to the employer? How will ICD-9 users get certified for ICD-10 if they are contracted? Are there different places that train for ICD-10 and how do we find one that is reputable?

CCO is launching a full course on ICD-10 soon right? I think I heard it mentioned that Laurene attended a course recently and will be using this new gained knowledge to benefit us all, can't wait to hear what she has to say about it.

Laureen said in the July 2013 Q&A Webinar that our Full ICD-10 Course is coming -- but she did not give a date. I'm sure she will let us know as soon as it is available.
